Emily Moffitt is the Administrative and Marketing assistant for the Koger Center for the Arts, and the curator for the Koger Center Gallery.  Emily graduated summa cum laude from the University of South Carolina in 2022 with a B.A. in Studio Art and English.  During her time at USC, she participated in the Capstone Program, marched in the Carolina Band’s piccolo section, served as Editor and Recording Secretary for the Theta Chi chapter of Sigma Alpha Iota, and was a member of the Artist's Guild, a club affiliated with USC’s School of Visual Art and Design.  Aside from working for the Koger Center’s marketing and administrative team, she also helps curate their art galleries.  She currently serves on The Jasper Project’s Board of Directors as their secretary, and often writes for their magazine’s music column.  By working directly with the arts community of Columbia, she hopes to help develop the city’s cultural landscape into something greater than it already is.

Emily surrounded herself with the arts at a young age, thanks to her older sister introducing her to the flute and classical music.  She has played the flute since sixth grade and started to love drawing as soon as she could hold a pencil or crayon.  In her free time, she also enjoys trivia nights and visiting any kind of bookstore.
