Throughout the year, the Black Faculty Caucus maintains three standing committees. If you are interested in joining one of these committees, please contact Dr. Gloria Boutte; [email protected].
Advocacy
The Advocacy Committee identifies and develops strategies to advocate on behalf of Black faculty, particularly with regard to hiring, retention, and faculty welfare.
Professional Development
The Professional Development Committee organizes workshops, retreats, and seminars designed to support and mentor faculty through the various aspects of the tenure and promotion process. The committee is also responsible for promoting and facilitating research exchange among faculty, both within and across disciplines.
Social
The Social Committee plans events, outings, and activities that encourage community building and networking among faculty.
