Background

Dr. Gross' research interests center on the mechanical properties of materials. This includes the design, fabrication, and characterization of architected materials, especially those with nanoscale constituents; as well as the use of full field experimental data for the calibration of material models.

Education

  • Ph.D. in Aerospace Engineering, The University of Texas at Austin, August 2015
  • B.S. in Aerospace Engineering, Iowa State University, May 2010
