Research and Teaching Interests
Dr. Steck's research focuses on epidemiologic, clinical, and laboratory-based investigations to examine the role of nutrition in cancer prevention and control. Her work explores ways to reduce or eliminate health disparities related to some of the more common cancers, such as breast, prostate and colorectal cancers, with a particular focus on how diet interacts with the genome and microbiome to affect cancer risk.
