Energy Optimization Laboratory

Description: EOL develops custom power electronics using digital twins to co-design and operate the devices in the most optimal way for the specific application. We study high frequency kW power transfer with an emphasis on the magnetics design. Our goals include power electronics for extreme environments, transportation electrification, and resiliency for the power grid through cybersecurity and studying the integration of inverter-based resources and EV loads.
