Background

Roxanne Gower Price is the alumni relations manager in the College of Hospitality, Retail and Sport Management. Price plans and executes the college’s signature events while fostering alumni relationships. She also teaches the HTMT wedding planning and management course as an adjunct instructor.

With nearly three decades of experience, Price has a passion for bringing events to life and recently attained Project Management Professional® certification to broaden her planning skillset. As an accomplished event planner and marketing communications professional, Price has been honored with consecutive Couples’ Choice Awards by WeddingWire, an InShow award from American Institute of Graphic Arts SC, and numerous American Advertising Federation Addy awards throughout her career. She served two years in a volunteer capacity as the Association of Bridal Consultants South Carolina state manager and earned Professional Wedding Planner designation.

Prior to joining HRSM, Price served the University of South Carolina’s Pastides Alumni Center and was the owner, lead planner and designer of a boutique wedding planning business. She has Arkansas roots but now resides in Columbia with her husband, Lee, and daughter, Sara.
