Background

Laura Bishop is the recruitment coordinator in the College of Hospitality, Retail and Sport Management. In her role, Bishop oversees student recruitment efforts in the College of HRSM and represents the college at all admissions and recruitment events. She hosts daily academic information sessions for visitors in the HRSM Welcome Center and regularly meets with prospective families to share information about HRSM and its academic programs. She also serves as an advisor the HRSM Leadership program.

Prior to joining the College of HRSM, Bishop served as an academic advisor in the USC College of Engineering and Computing for three years. She was a graduate assistant in the USC Office of Undergraduate Admissions for two years and also worked for two years as an admissions counselor at Columbia College.

Bishop is a lifelong South Carolinian and currently lives in Columbia with her husband, Tyler, and their two dogs, Reid and Phoebe.
