Martiez Moore is an academic advisor in the College of Hospitality, Retail, and Sport Management at the University of South Carolina. He is passionate about guiding students through their college journey and celebrating their growth along the way. Before joining USC, Martiez was an academic advisor at Wiregrass Georgia Technical College and coordinated the Academic Recovery Program. He also served as the chaplain for the Valdosta State University football team and campus pastor for a campus ministry.

When he’s not advising, you can find Moore enjoying sports — especially basketball — playing the drums, or indulging his inner foodie by exploring new restaurants and cuisines. He loves to travel and believes in the power of new experiences to broaden horizons.

On campus, Moore is always up for events that involve delicious desserts and values the connections he makes while teaching U101. His favorite part of being an advisor is witnessing the incredible transformations students undergo during their college years and knowing he has a hand in their success, no matter how big or small.

Fun fact: Moore and his wife served as the tour pastors for Maverick City Music, Kirk Franklin, and other gospel music headliners during "The Kingdom Tour" in 2022. This 37-city tour set the record for the highest attendance of any Christian/gospel tour to date.
