Background

Emma Dickenson joined the College of Hospitality, Retail and Sport Management at the University of South Carolina in August 2024 as its student leadership services and event coordinator. As a part of HRSM's enrollment management and professional development team, Dickenson supports the daily events held in the Welcome Center, the seventh floor event space and other college-related events.

She joined the College of HRSM after working in retailing following her graduation from USC in 2021. Dickenson held a variety of positions at Free Bird Boutique and fab'rik, both located in Lexington, South Carolina. She demonstrated a remarkable ability to rapidly advance within both retailers, consistently taking on greater responsibilities and leadership roles with ease.

Dickenson earned her B.S. in retailing with a concentration in fashion merchandising and digital innovations as well as a minor in sport and entertainment management. In her spare time, she enjoys cheering on the Gamecocks and Buffalo Bills, spending time with friends and family, teaching ballet and going to the beach.
