Background

Amanda Amadon joined the marketing and communications team with the College of Hospitality, Retail and Sport Management in February 2024 as its marketing coordinator. A native of Western Massachusetts with a versatile background in print design, web design, app design, UX/UI, brand identity, custom illustration, blog management and copywriting, Amadon manages incoming marketing requests from across the college from concept to production.

Prior to joining HRSM, Amadon spent three years focusing on brand identity services and illustrative design as a freelancer. She was the sole designer on the full brand identity for BaseHubs, an app created to help military families familiarize themselves with their communities.

Before her work with BaseHubs, she worked for marketing firm Kreative Dezign building exciting visuals and managing social media for small businesses. Amadon was also the sole designer on the  Massachusetts Public Higher Education Chief Information Officer (CIO) Council 2015-2016 Annual Review.

Amadon earned her Bachelor of Science in communications media from Fitchburg State University. In her spare time, she enjoys the outdoors, hiking, traveling, cooking, drawing, painting, and managing the chaos that is raising her daughter and two horse-sized dogs with her husband.
