Bio:

Zoie Horecny earned a M.A. in Public History in 2021 and a B.A. in History with Distinction and a minor in Southern Studies in 2018 from the University of South Carolina. She is a PhD Candidate under the advisement of Dr. Mark Smith set to defend Fall 2024. Horecny has academic interests in the South during the Early Republic, Atlantic History, and the history of slavery. She had internships with the South Carolina State Museum, the South Carolina Department of Education, the Pinckney Papers Projects, and the Civil War Governors of Kentucky. She is currently a social media manager for Nursing Clio. She has been a Teaching Assistant and Instructor of Record for various course including U.S. History through Reconstruction, History of Science and Technology, and European History from the Mid-17th Century.
