Title: | PhD Graduate Student Latin American History |
Department: | Department of History College of Arts and Sciences |
Email: | [email protected] |
Advisor: Dr. Matt Childs
Bio:
I am an ABD student in the PhD program at USC, specializing in 20th-century Brazilian history. My primary research focus is on the local history of Sorriso, a small town located in the Amazonian region. My dissertation delves into the transformative development of Sorriso during the 1980s, exploring how it evolved to become a major soybean producer globally. Through my research, I aim to uncover the socio-economic and environmental impacts of this agricultural boom and contribute to a deeper understanding of the region's historical trajectory.
