Bio:

Marlon is from Los Angeles, and studied nonfiction creative writing at Columbia University prior to entering the graduate program at USC for the history of magic and occult science. Before grad school, he worked for years in film and television, producing commercials, music videos, and more. His most recent projects include producing a documentary about the Fountain Park Chautauqua in Remington, Indiana, and writing and directing his first short film. He looks forward to returning to the academy and studying kabbalah, lettrism, and other forms of esoteric theory and practice.

As an undergraduate, following an encounter with a Tuvan shaman now living in New York, Marlon also studied Russian in order to visit Siberian shamans in their native land. He spends much of his free time studying and occasionally practicing various forms of occult knowledge. Outside of work and studies, he likes to surf, hike, and spend time with his dog, Nico. He hopes to bring his studies at USC into his work as a writer and filmmaker.
